Construction Project Management

What is a Construction Project Manager?

Once a building project has been designed and planning permission has been achieved there is a requirement for someone to take control of the project going forward; to make sure the project stays on track and to make sure that any issues are handled which may arise during the construction phase.  This is the role of the Project Manager.

From designing the construction to scheduling various aspects of the build and managing the build itself.  Each stage requires careful planning and coordination.

New Build Flats – Station Mews

We were appointed by the client as the main contractor for this £850’000 project which was to construct two residential blocks of six one-bedroomed flats

The Station Mews site was 605m2 and was cleared prior to us commencing works.   The site was surrounded by commercial units and occupied flats placing constraints on the works with regards to traffic management, access and fire routes all of which were managed to limit the impact on local residents and the surrounding areas.

We had a dedicated Project Manager and Full Time On Site Manager to ensure that all the works were completed in accordance with the Schedule of Works and Construction Phase Plan, whilst ensuring compliance with building regulations and all health and safety requirements.

The project was designed with a great deal of attention being paid to the overall look and feel of the flats as well as a focus on the outside space and landscaping.   All materials used were of the highest quality sourced from our local suppliers.

This project was one of our most accomplished to date and we look forward to working on similar developments in the future.
