DJH Fire Services

Helping You To Improve Fire Safety, Save Lives & Stay Legal

Compliance

If you own, manage, or operate a business or building, you must comply to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Just like fire extinguishers and alarms, fire doors must have periodic inspection, testing and maintenance to ensure they will perform as intended in a fire situation.

It is the Responsible Person’s duty to maintain fire doors, you can face severe prosecutions if found guilty of having fire doors that are not fit for purpose. Guidelines state that the Responsible Person should appoint a competent person for fire safety.

By using DJH Fire Services you can have peace of mind knowing that you have chosen the right team for your doors.

Preventing the Spread of Fire

It is important that all fire doors are inspected correctly and maintained in order to comply with the regulations.

Due to general use, traffic flow and wear & tear, all fire doors should be checked by the appointed competent person every 6 months to ensure they function correctly.

Any defect, damage or fault with the door should be reported and rectified immediately

The Inspection

A Fire Door Inspection will establish if you and your premises are fully compliant with current fire safety legislation and identify any remedial works needed.

Our BRE trained technicians will do an on-site inspection, indicating any potential issues that would affect the performance of the fire door, safety of the building and its occupants.

Our inspections are carried out by a BRE trained inspector. This gives tenants, building managers and owners the peace of mind that the fire doors within their property have been competently checked and any remedial actions needed have been highlighted.

Maintenance, Repairs & Remedial Works

Any remedial works can be carried out by our in-house BRE trained maintenance team.

We are able to provide a quotation to undertake any maintenance works highlighted in the report to bring any failed fire doors back to required standards.

Ongoing maintenance of your fire doors ensures that they will perform as intended in a fire situation and compliance with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005
